Works fine. Should have a deeper lip as it sometimes slips off the board

"I'm very happy with this purchase.." 2009-12-22
By Michael M (Baltimore, MD)
Everything I was expecting in a push stick...and more. This push stick has a lot of nice features. I was considering making my own, but for the price of the Kreg Multi-purpose push stick w/ all of the added features (the ruler is great for determining blade height and the pencil holder in the handle is surprisingly handy) there was really no choice to make. Really the choice came down to either pay a nominal price for the kreg which has a lot of nice features and capabilities or spend an hour or two of my time to make something with fewer features and less capabilities for slightly less money (don't forget material costs). Like is said no choice to make. Kudos to whoever designed this!!

"Handy Device at a great price" 2009-06-23

I have used this a few times and I like it very much. It has a short reach, but that makes it nice for smaller jobs. It holds a pencil and has a nice rule included for setting the blade height or whatever. I also love the magnet that keeps it close and handy so it doesn't get lost !!

Good idea - Bad Design! The "Lip" for pushing against the wood could be a little bigger; only extends down 1/4 inch allowing the potential of slipping up over the stock being pushed through. 1/2 inch would be more practical and safer.

 "Worked well for me" 2009-12-17
By Amateur Tiler (Florida)
All I can say is the diamond hole saws were exactly what I needed. I have only used 3 of the saws. The ones that I used were on porcelain tile and they provided a nice clean finish. I had to make a template out of wood to place on top of the tiles to keep the saw from skipping. But, that did the trick and it helped hold in a little water as well.

 "Diamond hole saw" 2009-11-25

I cut three holes each with two of the saw bits. They cut the holes thru 1/2 in granite. The cutting edge showed considerable wear with just the three cuts. I got what I wanted from them in the short term, but I doubt they would be acceptable for everyday/extended use

 "Can't beat the price!" 2009-09-03
By D. Sargent (New England)
I bought this hole saw set because it was an unbelievable price and I trusted the reviews. I was not disappointed. One name brand professional bit can easily cost what this entire set costs! My first test was to cut a hole in a granite kitchen counter top. It did so flawlessly.

As another reviewer wrote, the hole saws do not come w/centering bits (some of the bits are too small for centering bits anyway). This is easily overcome (as the same reviewer wrote) by making a template out of plywood (Use a wood bit to pre drill a hole of equal size in the plywood). I used two sided tape to stick the plywood to the granite and a sponge to keep the bit wet and soak up the slop.

I don't think the bits will last forever cutting granite (for the price I would have never expected them to) and they bottom out at about 1-3/8", but it is certainly nice to have a pretty varied assortment of bits that you can trust to make accurate holes in stone or tile.

 "Worked liked a charm" 2009-04-07

I used the drills to make a hole in Travertine tiles and used a V shaped board to help center the drill, since it does not have a pilot drill. It worked great, better than what I had expected.

"Not bad for the money" 2008-12-06
By R. Heisler (Jackson, NJ)
I used the 1 1/2in size to enlarge the hole in my granite counter top to accommodate a new hot water tap that replaced a soap dispenser. I first cut a 1 1/2in hole in a piece of plywood, taped it to the counter that drilled away while my wife sprayed cold water at the bit to keep it cutting smooth. All and all I would say the bit worked very good, great for the money.
